As far as I know the Nextcloud-tasks app does not sync. It just reads and writes from/to the database.
Maybe you edited the wrong table?
The tasks are stored in oc_calendarobjects (your table prefix might be different from oc_).
Personally, I would not recommend to change database records directly.
